DHAKA, Oct. 12 (NsNewsWire) — The left-hand middle order batsman faced 98 balls to score the three-digit figure.
He took only 30 minutes since the opening of the third day’s play to reach the milestone.
The 22-year-old batsman’s first century came after one and a half year since he made his test debut against Sri Lanka in March last year. He scored 55 runs in his debut match.
After New Zealand’s left-arm pacer Boult removed Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal for a duck in his second ball, Mominul Haque took his side through to 103 for two at the close of the second day’s play.
Mominul was unbeaten at 77 facing 71 balls on Thursday.
