Bangladesh seal ODI series whitewash over New Zealand with Fatullah win

DHAKA, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) — Bangladesh clinched a 3-0 whitewash in the their one-day series against New Zealand after after a thrilling four-wicket victory in Sunday’s final match.
   Batting first, the visitors (Black Caps) set a target of 307 runs in their allocated 50 overs losing five wickets at the Fatullah Stadium in  Narayanganj on the outskirts of capital Dhaka.
   Riding on the century from LRPL Taylor, the visitors set the fighting target in which C Munro, AP Devcich and TWM Latham contributed 85 runs, 46 runs, 43 runs respectively.
  The hosts (Tigers) chased down the target in 49.2 overs with 4 wickets in hand. Shamsur Rahman was the top scorer with 96 runs from Bangladesh. Rahman judged Man of the Match.
   Naeem Islam scored second highest 66 runs while Nasir Hossain made 44 runs.
   Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah grabbed two wickets while Rubel Hossain, Sohag Gazi and Abdur Razzak took one  wicket each.
   MJ McClenaghan took two wickets while Corey J Anderson, NL McCullum and AP Devcich grabbed one each for the New Zealand.
   Bangladeshi capital Mushfiqur Rahiman won the toss and decided to field first.
   Bangladesh had earlier took 2-0 series against the visitors.
   New Zealand suffered a 40-run defeat at the hands of hosts Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka Thursday.
   The hosts beat the visitors by 43 runs (D/L method) in the first match held in the same venue on Oct. 29.
   Earlier, the two-match Test series between the Tigers and Black caps were drawn by 0-0.
   The New Zealand team arrived in Dhaka on Oct. 2 to play two tests, three One Day Internationals and a T20 match on Nov. 6.  Enditem
