DHAKA, Feb.  11 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh’s largest opposition party Sunday held a meeting with its partners following the jail sentence of its chief Khaleda Zia.

According to the meeting sources, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leaders discussed the party’s next course of action with the leaders of the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

A lower court Thursday awarded five years’ imprisonment to ex-Prime Minister Khaleda in Zia Orphanage trust graft case which BNP  has termed ‘false’ and ‘politicallymotivated.

The special court also sentenced Khaleda’s eldest son Tarique Rahman, acting BNP chairman, and four others to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Tk 2.10 crore each.
