China’s Global Times, Bangladesh’s NsNewsWire ink deal on news cooperation

DHAKA,  Sept. 13  (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh’s first press news agency– NsNewsWire — has inked  a news cooperation agreement with Global Times, a major English newspaper in China.

Li Hongwei, deputy editor-in-chief of Global Times, and NK Sanchaya, chief editor of NsNewsWire, signed the  agreement on be half of their respective sides recently.

Under the agreement, NsNewsWire and the English-language Global Times will  cooperate with each-other on national and international news coverage and content development issues on mutually agreed terms and conditions.

The agreement will help the two sides exploit each other’s advantage and promote mutual understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries.

The agreement is expected to further enhance Global Times-NsNewsWire cooperation in news reporting.

Founded in April 2009, Global Times has already emerged as an essential reading for every China-watcher.

The paper is now one of the most dynamic players among Chinese media, and has rapidly become the major English newspaper in the nation.

Headquartered in Beijing, it provides in-depth coverage of controversial stories, from child AIDS victims to urban renewal, forced demolition and the fight against corruption. Its opinion pages feature heated debate over tough issues such as China’s use of the death penalty, the challenges of forming a new international order, and the nation’s growing wealth gap.

On the other hand, Dhaka-based NsNewsWire is Bangladesh’s first press news agency.

Established in 2012,  NsNewsWire is a first press newswire in Bangladesh which has exclusive relationships with many leading news agencies, dailies and tv channels in Bangladesh and elsewhere in Asia. Earlier NsNewsWire had signed a news and photo service agreement Guangming Online, a leading Chinese news website, and Xinhua News Agency, the largest official news agency in the People’s Republic of China.
