Chinese Bridge contest held in Bangladesh

13147745_1004150839675746_751881848119541261_oDHAKA, May 11 (NsNewsWire) — A large number of college and varsity students representing a number of educational institutions participated in the 15th Chinese Bridge contest held recently at the Chinese embassy in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.

The contestants competed in three segments featuring poetry recitation, Q&As, and artistic performances.

The Chinese embassy here conducted the contest on May 9 in order to select six Bangladeshi youngsters who will have the opportunity to visit China.

After announcement of the results, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ma Mingqiang posed with the six winners including two female and four male students and teachers of their respective educational institutions.

The Chinese Bridge is an international Chinese culture and language proficiency program where Chinese language and culture students from institutions worldwide compete in various categories.

The Dhaka contest was hosted by the Confucius Institute at North South University, the Shanto-Mariam Confucius Class Room, and the Dhaka University.
