IGCC organizes a musical soiree of 250 years of Bangla songs

DHAKA, April 10 (NsNewsWire) — IGCC organised a musical soiree of 250 years of Bangla songs by Ms. Chandrabali Rudra Dutta from India on 9 April 2018 at 6.30PM at Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbagh, Dhaka. Ms. Chandrabali Rudra Dutta will sing Puratoni Bangla Gaan, Adhunik, D L Ray, Rajnikanta, Atulprasad, Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Sangeet.

 

Ms. Chandrabali Rudra Dutta is a well known figure in the world of music in Kolkata. She trained in classical vocal, Rabindra Sangeet, etc. under renowned maestros of Kolkata namely Shri Sunil Bose, Shri Dhiren Das, Late Sj. Shailaja Ranjan Majumdar, Shri Chandidas Mal, Shri Biman Mukherjee, Shri Jatileswar Mukherjee and many others.

 

A regular artist of All India Radio, Doordarshan and other TV channels, she has performed all over India in many prestigious programmes and festivals. She has also performed in many foreign countries namely, India, Atlanta, Toronto, Doha, London etc.

 

Chandrabali has won many awards and recognitions including 1st prize by the Rajya Sangeet Academy of West Bengal; an “A” grade of All India Radio; an accredited artist under “Established Category” of Indian Council for Cultural Relations etc. She has served as an “Expert Committee” member for Senior and Junior Fellowship schemes under Ministry of Culture, Government of India from 2010-2014; member of Governing Body, Bengal Music College, Kolkata University since 2010, an Expert in the Audition Board of All India Radio for 2015-2018.

 

She has to her credit a number of cassettes and CDs brought out by prestigious music companies. She runs a musical institution -“Geetika” and is also a teacher of vocal music at Bengal Music College, Kolkata. Press Release
