Int’l expos on garment, packaging, printing industry kick off in Bangladesh

Four concurrent exhibitions on garment, packaging and printing industry kicked off on Wednesday in the Bangladesh capital with the aim of bringing the sector insiders under one roof, reports Xinhua on Jan. 15.
   Organizers said the exhibitions — 19th GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2020, 11th Garment Accessories and Packaging Exposition (GAPEXPO), 11th Int’l Yarn & Fabric Sourcing Fair and the 3rd Bangladesh Printing and Packaging Expo — will attract thousands of readymade garment sector people.
   Visitors can shop at booths and learn about textiles and garments materials and yarn fabrics by attending various seminars conducted by professionals, they said.
   Bangladeshi Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated the international events as the chief guest.
   Around 450 companies from 24 countries including China showcased their products at the exhibitions.
   The Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association in collaboration with its local partners — Zakaria Trade & Fair International, ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd — organized the four-day international exhibitions.  Enditem
