Gold Coast, March 27 (NsNewsWire) — WBO World Welterweight Champion Jeff Horn will soon add another title to his name this Saturday, 31 March – a Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Batonbearer.

Brisbane’s hometown boxing hero is the final Batonbearer on Day 96 of the Queen’s Baton Relay’s (QBR) Australian journey, carrying the Queen’s Baton into the community celebration at South Bank Parklands four days before the Opening Ceremony of GC2018.

The 30-year-old, who stunned the sporting world in July last year when he beat boxing legend Manny Pacquaio in the Queensland capital, said it was an honour to be a part of GC2018 so close to the start of the Games.
