DHAKA, July 16 (Xinhua) — The total number of Bangladesh’s mobile phone subscribers hit nearly 151 million at the end of June with addition of 5.84 million new users in the first half of this year, statistics of the country’s telecom regulator showed Monday.
According to data from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the number of subscribers in the country reached 150.945 million in June.
Bangladesh has now four mobile companies, three of them are foreign-backed cellphone operators.
The number of subscribers of the mobile operators, Grameenphone, Robi Axiata, Banglalink and Teletalk stood at 69.170 million, 44.729 million, 33.282 million and 3.764 million respectively at the end of June, BTRC data showed
According to the statistics of the country’s telecom regulator, the number of Bangladesh’s mobile phone subscribers was 145.114 million at the end of December 2017. Enditem
