More than 3,000 people undergoing dengue treatment in Bangladesh

More than 3,000 people have been undergoing dengue fever treatment in Bangladesh.
   The figures of Thursday reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Ministry of Health showed a total of 1,355 patients are being treated in 41 public and private hospitals in capital Dhaka while 1,674 more patients are in hospitals and clinics elsewhere in the country, reports Xinhua on Thursday.
   The DGHS data showed 79,367 dengue patients and 60 deaths from Jan. 1 to Sept. 12 this year in Bangladesh, as compared to 10,148 cases and 26 deaths in the country last year.
   The country’s health authorities have already strengthened measures to check breeding of mosquitoes and conduct anti-larval operations.  Enditem
