Orientation held for Pakistani companies participating in DCCI Business Conclave

Pakistan High Commission Dhaka in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan organized a Webinar on 4th January 2021 for ‘orientation of Pakistani companies participating in the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (DCCI) virtual Business
Conclave’, which will take place on 5th – 7th January 2021.
His Excellency High Commissioner for Pakistan Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui welcomed the participants and thanked DCCI for guiding Pakistani companies on technical handling of the virtual platform. He reiterated Pakistan High Commission’s strengthened engagement with DCCI for a Joint Action Plan and proposed MoU to boost bilateral trade activities. Speakers
from DCCI included; (i) Secretary General (Acting) DCCI, Mr. Afsarul Arifeen, Mr. Secretary DCCI, Mr. Md Joynal Abdin, Deputy Secretary Facilitation and SME Development DCCI, Mr. Enamul Hafiz Latifee, and Deputy Secretary R&D and SME Development, Mr. Mohammad
Musleh Uddin. Formal speeches and briefings were followed by a Question-Answer session for the Pakistani participants. The Webinar ended with a vote of thanks from Commercial Secretary
Pakistan High Commission Dhaka, Mr. Muhammad Suleman Khan, who also moderated the whole event.
Pakistan is participating in DCCI Business Conclave as one of the Partner Countries which also include; China, Turkey, Poland, Vietnam, Egypt, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Algeria, besides Bangladesh. More than 50 Pakistani companies are participating in the event from seven different sectors: (i) Apparels and Textiles, (ii) Light engineering goods, (iii) Pharmaceuticals,
(iv) Agro and Food Processing, (v) IT and IT enabled services, (vi) Leather products, and (vii)
Plastics. The High Commissioner has also been invited to the virtual inauguration ceremony of the Conclave on 5th January 2021. Press release
