Veteran Financial Express Journalist Anisur Rahman Selim dies, aged 75

DHAKA, April 17 (NsNewswire) — Veteran journalist Anisur Rahman Selim, the longtime chief sub-editor of the Financial Express, has died. He was 75.
A senior Financial Express journalist said that Selim died of old-age complications Monday morning at his house in capital Dhaka.
Born in Comilla, he had worked at the Financial Express till 2013 since the inception of the country’s top leading English financial daily.
He had worked for different newspapers in his long journalistic career.
Prior to joining journalism, he was a teacher for decades.
Selim, a permanent member of the National  Press Club, is considered a bright light in Bangladesh journalism.
Selim leaves behind a vast family of brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews and an extensive network of friends and colleagues who will cherish his memory forever.
Colleagues say his professional guidance paved the way for many to build a great career in journalism and contribute to the welfare of the country in various fields.
