Samsung, Bangladesh partner hold art camp for special children to mark Bengali New Year

On the occasion of the Bengali New Year 1429, an art camp with special children has been organized by Samsung and Fair Electronics under the supervision of Nabiha Raida Foundation.

The event was held on Tuesday (April 12) at a Flagship Store of Samsung in Dhaka’s Gulshan Avenue.

Huang Sang Woo, managing director of Samsung Electronics Limited, and Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub, chairman of Fair Group, Samsung’s local partner, among others, were present at the event.

A total of 19 children hailing from 5 organisations – Proyash Special Educational Institution, Society for Welfare of Autistic Children, Keraniganj School for the Intellectually Handicapped and Autistic, Hope Autism Center and Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh – participated in the event, reads a press release.

All the participants were declared winners and received accolades for their accomplishments.

In his welcome speech, Chairman of Fair Group Ruhul Alam Al Mahboob said that today’s event was inspired by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her daughter Saima Wazed.

He said Fair Group will continue to work to create jobs for these special children.
