Ambassador Yao Wen Attends 2025 “Dhaka·China Day” Event

On September 25, the second “Dhaka·China Day” event, jointly organized by the Chinese embassy in Bangladesh and North South University of Bangladesh, was grandly held. H.E. Ambassador Yao Wen, Hon’ble Adviser to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Farida Akhter, North South University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, and over 20,000 university faculty and students attended the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Yao Wen stated that the “Dhaka·China Day” event demonstrates the unique charm of Chinese culture, builds a bridge for young Bangladeshi students and people from all walks of life to better understand a real, multi-dimensional and comprehensive China. He expressed hope that both sides would continue to deepen practical cooperation in various fields, strengthen exchanges in governance experience, and elevate bilateral relations to a higher level.

Adviser Farida remarked that China is a trustworthy and reliable development partner for Bangladesh. She expressed hope that both sides would take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, education, culture, and agriculture.
