Bangladesh reiterates firm adherence to one-China principle

The following is the full and unedited text of a statement which Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued here Thursday: “Bangladesh warmly welcomes a recent statement by the Chinese government wishing Bangladesh a smooth general election and emphasizing that the elections are internal affairs of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh deeply values the cordial relations between the two countries which received further boost under the interim government.
Bangladesh also strongly reaffirms its adherence to the One China Principle”. Enditem
