Chinese Embassy Chargé Dr. Liu Yuyin attended a seminar celebrating 50 years of Bangladesh-China ties
On October 18, Chargé d’affaires a.i. Dr. Liu Yuyin attended the seminar titled “Join hands to act on the four global initiatives and promote common development of Bangladesh and China” in celebration of 50 Years of China-Bangladesh diplomatic relations, which is hosted by the Apon Friendship Exchange Center. BNP Vice Chairman Air Vice Marshal Mr. Altaf Hossain Chowdhury and Vice Chairman Dr. S M Asaduzzaman Ripon, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser of the interim government of Bangladesh, Mr. Apurba Jahangir, President of the National Press Club, Mr. Hasan Hafiz and representatives of various sectors attended the event.
Chargé d’affaires a.i. Dr. Liu noted that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral ties, both countries need to align efforts with the vision set out in the Global Initiatives, strengthen synergy of development strategies and cooperation plans, and advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, so as to build a China-Bangladesh community with a shared future.
Participants at the seminar stated that since the establishment of diplomatic ties 50 years ago, Bangladesh and China have always respected and treated each other as equals. People from various sectors in Bangladesh highly commend the Belt and Road Initiative and the Four Global Initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, recognizing them as visionary proposals that provide guidance for furthering global peace and development. They expressed hope to further strengthen exchanges, and carry forward the friendship between Bangladesh and China for generations to come.
