Grmeen Intel, Concern Universal join hands to support 10,000 women farmers

DHAKA, Dec. 15 (NsNewsWire) —  Concern Universal Bangladesh and Grameen Intel Social Business Ltd. have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) on December 15, 2016 to offer information technology based agriculture services to women entrepreneurs in southwest Bangladesh.

With this MOU, Grameen Intel’s eAgro solutions that include fertilizer recommendations, pesticide recommendation, market linkage and seed recommendations will reach 10,000 rural women farmers in Khulna, Bagerhat and Jamalpur districts. After piloting in some of the Women Business Centers, Concern Universal will scale up the service.

The Women Business Centers are facilitated by Concern Universal and managed by the rural women entrepreneurs.

The MoU was signed by Fakhrul Arefeen Khan, General Manager, Business Development of Grameen Intel and Md. Bahauddin Ahmad Sharif, Finance and Administration Manager of Concern Universal, Bangladesh. The signing was held at Grameen Intel’s head office at Mohakhali in the capital.
