11 held with 2 pounds of uranium in Bangladesh‏

The Detective Branch (DB) of Bangladesh Police has arrested 11 people in capital Dhaka on charge of what it said smuggling of uranium.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB conducted drives in different parts of the capital city from Friday night to Sunday morning and seized two pounds of the uranium worth about 500 million taka (about 6.41 million U.S. dollars) from their processions, Deputy Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Masudur Rahman told journalists.
He said, “11 members of the uranium trading syndicate were arrested in Dhaka with about 2 pounds of uranium.”
Rahman said all the arrested were Bangladeshis, but did not elaborate on the matter. Source: Xinhua
