Huawei launches GR5 and Mate 8 in Bangladeshi market

HuaweiDHAKA, Feb. 17 (NsNewsWire) — Huawei, the world’s second largest android Smartphone brand, has launched two flagship smartphones – Huawei GR5 and Huawei Mate 8 in Bangladesh.
The gala launch event was held on Monday night in capital Dhaka’s Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
According to a statement received here on Tuesday , the Huawei GR5 is the latest in its G series of smartphones with smarter fingerprint ID technology, superb camera, and an extraordinary 5.5” screen, with a sophisticated design that would appeal the modern youth.
Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the phone boasts a 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM, a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera, and a powerful 3000 mAh battery among other lucrative features, it said.
All these and more features packed in the GR5 comes an attractive Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of only 22,990 taka.
According to the statement, the Mate 8, on the other hand, is Huawei’s latest introduction in the high-end Smartphone market. Packed with a new generation of fingerprint scanning technology to enhance protection, the elegantly designed Mate 8 comes with a 4000 mAh-high density battery, a powerful chipset, and a metal unibody.
Added to that, the Mate 8 has a 16 MP rear and 8 MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM among other striking features. Its revolutionary power efficient battery, in particular, is perfect for the modern on-the-go professional, it said.
It will be available to the Bangladeshi customers at MRP 59,990 taka.

Grameenphone, the leading telecom operator in Bangladesh, came together with Huawei to launch the handsets.
According to the statement, GP Star customers will be able to avail the GR5 at 12 months EMI with attractive data package. Star customers will also have the opportunity to purchase the Mate 8 at 24 months EMI along with free gifts and data package.
The GR5 and Mate 8 will be available in stores across Bangladesh from the third week of this month at Huawei Experience Stores in Bashundhara City and Jamuna Park, Grameenphone Centers, and other brand shops across the country.  Enditem
