37 foreigners, two Bangladeshis arrested on call bypass charges

DHAKA, Dec. 23 (NsNewsWire) –Anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion has arrested two Bangladeshis and 37 foreigners from Dhaka’s Uttara area on charge of operating illegal Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), also known as call bypass.
RAB personnel also recovered huge VoIP instruments from the possession of the arrestees who rented a six-storey building for doing the illegal activities.
A senior RAB official said “We raided the building and arrested two Bangladeshis, five Chinese citizens and 32 Taiwanese men.”
The official who preferred to be unnamed said the culprits were involved in illegal VoIP operations for over one and a half year.
All the arrested will be handed over to police for taking legal action against them, he added
