Chinese FM Yi holds bilateral talks with Bangladesh

DHAKA, Dec. 28 (NsNewsWire) — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived in Dhaka on Saturday night, on Sunday held talks with his Bangladesh counterpart AH Mahmood Ali  and discussed ways to further bolster cooperation in key areas including trade and investment.
Both Wang and Ali were assisted by their delegations which comprised of senior officials from their respective  foreign ministries.
Diplomatic sources said they discussed entire gamut of bilateral issues and programs to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and China in 2015 in a befitting manner, by jointly organizing various events and activities throughout the year.
Wang Yi, who is scheduled to leave Dhaka on Monday afternoon,  will call on President Md. Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Rowshan Ershad.
