Asia Cup 2016: India beat Bangladesh to lift 6th titl

DHAKA, March 7 (NsNewsWire) — India won Asia Cup T20 with an eight-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the final here at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Sunday night, reports Xinhua.
Batting first, Bangladesh set a target of 121 runs in their allocated 15 overs losing five wickets.
Riding on 60 runs from Shekhar Dhawan and 41 runs from Virat Kohli, India chased down the target losing two wickets.
India scored 122/2 in 13.5 overs.
Dhoni contributed 20 crucial runs in India’s efforts to lift the 6th title of the Asia Cup, a contest for regional supremacy and a final rehearsal for the World T20.
Al Amin Hossain and Taskin took one wicket each for Bangladesh.
India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat in the final after heavy rain reduced it to a 15-over per side match.
Tight bowling by the Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh from scoring freely in the final of the biennial 12-day tournament.
Mahmudullah scored highest 32 runs for Bangladesh.
R Ashwin, A Nehra, JJ Bumrah and RA Jadeza grabbed one wicket each for India.
