Bangladesh appoints new envoy to Singapore

DHAKA, Aug. 2 (NsNewsWire) — The Bangladeshi government has decided to appoint Mustafizur Rahman as the next High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Singapore.

 Mustafizur Rahman is a career diplomat. He is currently working as Director General (UN Wing) in the Ministry. In his distinguished career, he served as the Deputy Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to UN in New York and as the Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata. He also served in the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the UN Offices in Geneva and the Bangladesh Embassy in Paris in different capacities.

 Mustafizur Rahman obtained M.B.B.S. from Sir Salimullah Medical College. He also did a Masters in International Law from University of London, UK, a Post-graduate Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Institute of Public Administration (IIAP) in Paris and a Post-graduate Certificate course in Conflict Management from University of York, UK.
