Bangladesh crush Zimbabwe to seal 2-0 series win in 2nd ODI

DHAKA, Nov. 10 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh won the 2nd one-day international (ODI) by 58 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series against Zimbabwe Monday night, reports Xinhua.
The hosts sealed series as they had won the first match earlier.
Batting first, the hosts set a target of 242 runs in their allocated 50 overs losing nine wickets in the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Riding on 76 runs from Imrul Kayes, the hosts scored 241 runs in which Nasir Hossain and Sabbir Rahman contributed 41 runs and 33 runs respectively.
Zimbabwe captain E Chigumbura won the toss and decided to field first in the second of the three-match series against the hosts.
T Panyangara took three wickets while N Muzarabani and AG Cremer grabbed two wickets each.
Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets while Al Amin Hossain and Nasir Hossain grabbed two wickets each as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 183 runs in 43.2 overs in the 2nd ODI.
Zimbabwe’s E Chigumbura scored highest 47 runs while Sikandar Reza made 33 runs.
Bangladesh clinched a 145-run victory over Zimbabwe in the 1st match on Sunday night.
The 3rd ODI is scheduled to start in the same venue on Wednesday.  Enditem
