Bangladesh elite force busts fake Indian currency factory, two held

DHAKA, Dec. 29 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh’s anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has unearthed a fake Indian currency making factory in Keraniganj on the outskirts of capital Dhaka.
A team of RAB in a drive conducted on Wednesday night also arrested two men in this connection, Mizanur Rahman,senior assistant director of legal and media wing, told journalists Thursday.
He said law enforcers recovered fake Indian currency worth 1 million rupees from their possession.
Rahman said the RAB team also seized equipment used to make counterfeit Indian currency.
Acting on a tip off, RAB conducted the raid and found the factory on the 3rd floor of a building producing counterfeit Indian currency.
According to the official, the detainees have long been involved in producing counterfeiting foreign currencies.
They (the culprits) had been taken into custody by law enforcers for further interrogation.  Enditem
