Bangladesh trashes South Africa by 7 wickets to level series 1-1

DHAKA, July 13 (Xinhua) — In a clinical display by the Bangladeshis, South Africans were handed a seven wicket defeat at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhska to level the ODI series 1- 1 on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
South Africa Friday defeated Bangladesh by eight wickets in the rain-interrupted 1st of the 3-match ODI series at the same venue.
Batting first on Sunday, the visitors scored 162 runs losing all the 10 wickets in 46 overs.
In response, the hosts reached the target losing merely three wickets with 134 balls to spare.
Record 135-run partnership between Mahmudullah and Soumya Sarker steered their side to victory comfortably.
Sarker was not out on 88 runs though Mahmudullah was unlucky to fall at the cusp of victory after reaching his fifty.
K Rabada took two wickets while K J Abbott grabbed one wicket.
F du Plessis made highest 41 runs for the visitors while F Behardien scored 36 runs.
Bngladesh Nasir Hossain and Mashrafe Mortaza captured three wickets each to restrict Proteas to modest total.
South African captain won the toss and decided to bat first against the tigers.
