Bangladesh whitewash Pakistan 3-0 to seal ODI series

DHAKA, April 23 (Xinhua) –Bangladesh clinched a 3-0 whitewash in their One-Day International or ODI Cricket series against Pakistan after an eight-wicket victory in Wednesday’s final match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Batting first, the visitors set a target of 250 runs in 49 overs losing all the ten wickets.
The visitors set the fighting target in which Azhar Ali, Sami Aslam and Haris Sohail contributed 101 runs, 45 runs and 52 runs respectively.
Riding on the maiden ODI century from Soumya Sarker, the hosts (Tigers) chased down the target in 39.3 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
Bangladesh’s Masrafe Mortaza, Arafat Sunny, Shakib Al Hasan and Rubel Hossain took two wickets each.
Junaid Khan was the only successful Pakistan bowler who managed to grab two wickets.
Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and decided to bat first.
Bangladesh had earlier took 2-0 series against the visitors.
Pakistan suffered a 7-wicket defeat at the hands of hosts in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka Monday.
Bangladesh clinched a 79-run victory over Pakistan in the first match.
Pakistan arrived in Dhaka on April 13 to play three ODIs, two Tests and a T20 during their tour to  Bangladesh.  Enditem
