Bodies and debris found in AirAsia plane search

SURABAYA, Indonesia,  Dec. 31 (NsNewsWire) –Debris and bodies from the AirAsia flight were found Tuesday in Indonesian waters, three days after the jetliner with 162 people disappeared from radar in bad weather.

The country’s National Search and Rescue Agency confirmed that debris from the aircraft was found in the Karimata Strait between Sumatra, Java and Borneo, a large island shared among Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, reports USA Today.

The announcement came as bodies were being recovered from the area where the jetliner disappeared Sunday morning.
