Chinese Candidate for AIIB Presidency

 

DHAKA, July 9 (NsNewsWire) — China has formally nominated Jin Liqun, former vice finance minister of China, as the Chinese candidate for president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, or AIIB.

China’s Foreign Ministry on Monday confirmed that Jin Liqun was nominated by the Chinese government as candidate for AIIB President, based on procedures approved by finance ministers of the AIIB founding members in Beijing on June 29, reports Xinhua.
The major agreement outlining the framework and management structure for the institution was also signed during the meeting.
