Chinese Embassy holds farewell party for Chinese gov’t scholarship recipients in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Aug. 30 (NsNewsWire) — The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh held a farewell party Friday for some 146 Bangladeshi students, officials and professionals who were awarded Chinese government scholarships, reports Xinhua.

Senior officials from Bangladesh’s relevant ministries and Chinese Embassy, among others, attended the party.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ma Mingqiang extended his warm congratulations to the scholarship recipients.

He urged them to study hard and make due contribution to Bangladesh’s development and Sino-Bangla friendship.

Scholarship recipients have expressed their appreciation to the Chinese government and people for assisting Bangladesh human resources development.

Officials encouraged all the students to study hard and get a better understanding of the Chinese society and culture so as to contribute to the deepening of Sino-Bangla friendly and cooperative relations.

The scholarship recipients are scheduled to leave for China next month. They will major in such subjects as agriculture, medicine, economics, engineering, computer science, among others. in different leading Chinese universities. Enditem
