Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh Hosts the Pre-departure Reception For the 40th FSA Diplomats to Visit China
On November 7, the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh held the pre-departure Reception for the 40th FSA diplomats who are about to leave for training in China, the Chinese embassy in Dhaka said in a Facebook post on Sunday.
Ambassador Yao Wen attended the event and delivered remarks. Hon’able Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin, Hon’able Rector of Foreign Service Academy Ms. Mashfee Binte Shams, Director General of East Asia & Pacific Wing Mr. Mohammed Nore-Alam, were invited to attend the reception.
Ambassador Yao highlighted that this is the second time the Chinese Embassy in cooperation with Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has organized a training program for young diplomats. It is also an exchange journey in a new era. China and Bangladesh are comprehensive strategic cooperative partners, and next year will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the “Year of People-to-people Exchange”. Young diplomats are not only inheritors of the China-Bangladesh friendship but also participants and contributors to the healthy development of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Yao encouraged the young Bangladeshi diplomats to make the most of their “first mission”. He encouraged them to study Chinese history and culture with genuine interest, integrate into local communities with a spirit of friendship, and reflect and summarize their experiences with a sense of responsibility. By doing so, they can convey the goodwill and kindness of the Bangladeshi people to their Chinese friends and show the vitality and spirit of the young generation of Bangladesh.
Hon’able Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for providing this valuable training opportunity. He recalled meeting the first delegation of young Bangladeshi diplomats to China during his tenure as Ambassador to China, a memory that remains vivid. He noted that all participants were highly impressed with China’s level of socio-economic development and unanimously praised the valuable insights gained through the training. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is eager looking forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese Embassy, taking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the “Year of People-to-people Exchange” as an opportunity to elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership to new heights.
