International Day of Yoga: Commemoration in Bangladesh

DHAKA, April 29 (NsNewsWire) — United Nations has declared 21 June as the International Day of Yoga. To commemorate the 1st International Day of Yoga, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre is organizing a series of events.

 

                On 2 May, 2015 at 10.00 a.m., Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, in association with Bangladesh Yoga Association and Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation is organizing a Seminar on Yoga at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Auditorium.

 

                Three Yoga experts of Bangladesh will address different aspects of Yoga. Mr. S.I.M. Sagar Sagir, Chairman, Society for Bongojo Swachikitsha Poribar will speak on the history of Yoga. Mr. Mohd. Harun, President, Bangladesh Yoga Association will talk on Yoga for Health and Sports, and Mr. Satyajit Biswas from the Patanjali Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy Ltd. will speak on Ashtanga Yoga.

 

                This will be followed by a brief demonstration of Asanas by the members of Bangladesh Yoga Association.
