land Customs station inaugurated at Srimanthpur, Tripura on Bangladesh-India borde

DHAKA, Jan. 10 (NsNewsWire) — Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State (IC) for Commerce & Industry, Government of India,  along with  Manik Sarkar, Chief Minister of Tripura inaugurated the Land Customs Station (LCS) at Srimantapur on 6 January 2016.

This LCS is located  at Sonamura, Sepahijala District, Tripura on the India-Bangladesh border.   The corresponding LCS on the Bangladesh side is Bibirbazar (Chittagong Commissionerate).

Srimantapur is the second LCS developed by the State Government of Tripura bordering Bangladesh.  It would have facilities for fast customs clearance, parking lots for trucks, etc. to facilitate two-way trade between India and Bangladesh.
