Nepalese PM announces resignation

KATHMANDU, May 24 (Xinhua) — Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal announced his resignation from the post during a special address to the nation on Wednesday afternoon.

With this, Dahal’s ten-month-long tenure has come to an end.

In his state address, the prime minister, who is better known as “Prachanda,” informed that his party will continue alliance with the Nepali Congress, the largest party in the Nepali Parliament, to form a new government.
