Outgoing Egyptian Ambassador calls on Foreign Minister

DHAKA, June 14 (NsNewsWire) — The outgoing Egyptian Ambassador in Bangladesh and the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Dhaka Mahmoud Ezzat made a farewell call on  Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali MP this morning in the Foreign Ministry.

The Egyptian Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation for extending all support to him in discharging his duties during his more than four years stay in Bangladesh. The Ambassador briefed the Foreign Minister about the development of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Egypt during his work as Ambassador and stated that Bangladesh and Egypt are now active partners of political, economic, trade and cultural cooperation that had developed over the years. He appreciated the contributions of our expatriate workers in the Egyptian economy. The Ambassador also appreciated the Foreign Minister’s personal support to the Ambassador in discharging his duties as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Dhaka. He also invited the Foreign Minister to visit Egypt for enhancement of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Egypt.

            The Foreign Minister appreciated the Ambassador for his effective role played and positive contributions made as the Ambassador of Egypt in Bangladesh as well as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Dhaka. The Foreign Minister also thanked the Ambassador for his efforts in improving the relations between Bangladesh and Egypt and expressed the hope that it will improve further in the years ahead.

Mahmood Ali wished the Egyptian Ambassador good health, happiness and all success in his career ahead. The Ambassador is scheduled to depart for Egypt in the last week of June 2016.
