Palestinians mark Arafat’s 10th anniv. amid growing internal feuds

GAZA/RAMALLAH, Nov. 12 (NsNewsWire) — Amid growing internal feuds between the Islamic Hamas movement and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah Party, the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza marked the tenth death anniversary of late former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Tuesday.

Abbas, who succeeded Arafat in leading Fatah and the executive committee of Palestine Liberation Organization in 2005, on Tuesday accused Hamas of carrying out Friday’s bombing attacks against properties of his Fatah Party’s leaders in Gaza, reports Xinhua.

“Those who committed the bombing attacks against Fatah leaders in the Gaza Strip are part of the Hamas leadership. This is why I refuse their decision to investigate the bombing incidents,” Abbas said.
