Revised Indian visa procedures in Dhaka, Khulna
DHAKA, Jan. 22 (NsNewsWire) — With effect from Sunday, 1st February 2015, applications for all categories of Indian visas, except Tourist (T) visas, will be accepted on a walk in basis without an online “Appointment Date” at Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs), located at Gulshan, Motijheel and Dhanmondi in Dhaka and IVAC, Khulna.
According to a press release of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Thursday, the categories are:-

For tourist visas (T Visas), existing procedures as described on http://www.ivacbd.com for submission of visa applications will continue to remain valid. Tourist visa applicants will continue to require to obtain an online “Appointment Date” for submission of their applications.
The procedure for applying for the aforementioned 10 categories of visas without the requirement of obtaining an online “Appointment Date” is as follows:-
Step 1 (Completing the form)
Every applicant should complete the online application form at https://www.indianvisaonline.gov.in as per current practice;
Step 2
The type of visa being applied for should be correctly specified;
Step 3 (Submitting the form)
The applicant should print out the completed form and bring it with him/her to Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) located at Gulshan, Motijheel, Dhanmondi in Dhaka and in Khulna, along with all supporting documents and visa processing fee. This should be done within 4 days of the “Web Registration Date” indicated on the left hand side of the printed form (details available at www.ivacbd.com or www.hcidhaka.gov.in);
Step 4
The form may be submitted between 0900-1300 hours on all working days (Sunday to Thursday), except closed days as notified on the High Commission of India’s website www.hcidhaka.gov.in;
Step 5
On acceptance of the application by Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) that is complete in all respects, the applicant will be issued a printed receipt that will indicate the date by which the visa request will be processed;
Step 6 (Delivery of passport)
Processed passports will be delivered on production of the printed receipt to the applicants or their representatives on the date indicated on the receipt at Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) located at Gulshan, Motijheel, Dhanmondi in Dhaka and in Khulna between 1600 hours to 1700 hours (4 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
The above procedures will come into effect from 0900 hours (9 a.m.) on Sunday, 1 February, 2015 at IVACs in Gulshan, Motijheel and Dhanmondi in Dhaka and in Khulna.
Advisory :
1. Applicants are strongly advised to enter their correct mobile numbers and email addresses to enable the Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) to contact the applicant. Failure to do so could delay visa processing.
2. Applicants are personally responsible for ensuring that details filled in are accurate and correct. Incorrect or incomplete details will result in delay in visa processing and / or denial of visa;
3. Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) do not have any
representatives in Bangladesh. Applicants are advised to be wary of middlemen/agents/brokers. They are advised to report any such activity to local police authorities.
