Robi brings digital pre-paid electricity bill payment facility

DHAKA, March 18 (NsNewsWire) —  Robi has recently signed an agreement with Bangladesh Power
Development Board (BPDB) for digital prepaid electricity bill payment service facility.
Robi’s digital electricity bill payment facility makes it very convenient for the customers of
BPDB to pay for their prepaid bills.
In presence of BPDB’s GM Commercial, Kawsar Amir Ali, the agreement was signed
between Robi Axiata Limited and BPDB at the Bidyut Bhaban in Dhaka. Robi’s Vice
President, M-Money & Regulatory, Dewan Nazmul Hasan and BPDB’s Sr. System Analyst,
Manik Chandra Ghosh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Robi’s General Manager, M-Money, Md. Zahid Hossain, Manager, Mosleh Uddin, Manager,
Khandakar Munira Mahzabin, Manager, Md. Firoz Kabir and BPDB’s System Analyst,
Mriganka Mohon Paul along with other high officials from BPDB were present on the
occasion.
Robi’s bill payment platform, “RobiCash”, is integrated with the BPDB’s billing system.
Hence, prepaid bills paid through RobiCash is updated on BPDB’s system. Customers can
choose to pay their bills through RobiCash Points or Robi Walk-In- Centres (WICs) or their
own mobile phones. In case of paying the bills from their own mobile phones, customers
need to first cash in electronic float (RobiCash) from the nearest WICs or RobiCash points.
Moreover, once a customer pays the prepaid electric bill, s/he will be notified through
immediate confirmation SMS of the payment. Hence, Robi mobile electric bill payment
system/RobiCash is completely secured and reliable. Apart from the paying electric bills,
customers can also water bill and purchase train tickets either from the RobiCash agents or by
