Scholastica advances with aid for Netrokona flood victims
DHAKA, Sept. 6 (NsNewsWire) — On Tuesday, 29th August 2017 several Scholastica students personally distributed aid to some 1500 flood affected people in Madan upazila of Netrokona District in the Division of Mymensingh.
The initiative of the students of Scholastica Uttara Senior Campus helped in the collection and packaging of two tons of essential requirements like – grain, lentils, puffed rice, biscuits, edible oil, drinking water, baby food, oral saline and clothes for the flood affected people.
With the help of the Upazila administration, the relief was dispersed amongst the flood victims of Madan, Uchitpur, Gobindasree and Kadamsree villages. Along with the Madan Upazila Municipality Chairman, the students, Zahin Arefin, Sami Mohammad Raghib Anjum, Sk. Fahad and Al-Deen were personally present during the distribution.
