Shakib’s heroics steer Bangladesh to clinch Test series over Zimbabwe

Khulna, Nov. 7 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh have won the second Test by 162 runs to clinch the three-match series 2-0
Shakib Al Hasan performed with bat and ball to hand Bangladesh the comfortable win over Zimbabwe in the second Test on Friday at Abu Naser Statdium in southwestern Khuna city.
Shakib who took 10 wickets and score a century in the test. He took 5 wickets in the second innings to help bowl out Zimbabwe for 151 runs.

In the first innings of the second Test he had taken five wickets to help Bangladesh for a 65-run lead, cutting down Zimbabwe for 368 runs.

In Zimbabwe’s first innings Hamilton Masakadza scored highest 158 runs while Regis Chakabva also hit a century of 101 runs. In its second innings Masakadza was the only Zimbabwean batsman to show resistance. He brought up his sixth half-century in the second innings.

Bangladesh had earlier declared its second innings on 248-9.
Bangladesh scored 433 runs in its first innings riding on centuries by Shakib (137 runs) and Tamim Iqbal (109 runs).

Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by three wickets in the first Test in Dhaka on Monday.

The third and final test is scheduled to start in the Southeastern seaport city Chittagong on Wednesday.
