Special Grameenphone offers at Smartphone and Tab Expo
DHAKA, Jan. 8 (NsNewsWire) — Grameenphone has launched exclusive new services
and offers for its customers today at the Grameenphone Smartphone and Tab
Expo.
The leading telecom operator in the country has announced a special starting
EMI of only Tk 2,563 for its Star customers and only Tk 5,125 for general
customers (only in pre-order stage) on Apple’s iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. GP
customers obtaining this service will get a 1 year Apple warranty on the
products, and a 50% discount on Heavy Browsing Nonstop Internet, which can
be obtained 8 times in 2 months with 30 days validity. Moreover, the users will
get a free 01711 number from a series of special GP numbers.
The company, which has been playing a pioneering role in the spread of internet
use all over the country through various programs under the ‘Internet for All’
campaign, also announced two special data offers for its users – GP users will be
able to avail 1 GB data pack with 15 days validity by dialling *5000*150# at
only Tk 150, and 300 MB data pack with 7 days validity by dialling *5000*109#
at only Tk 45.
Grameenphone has also launched a new offer campaign for GP users purchasing
iRist Smartwatch by Intex. Walk-in guests at the Tab Expo got a hands-on
experience of the offer. Sales will start from January 10 onwards.
WoWBox Users will be allowed free entry to the expo by simply showing their
WoWBox app on their smartphones to the representatives.
Currently, Grameenphone has 5.7 crore users in Bangladesh, more than 1.5
crore of whom are active internet users which is the highest number for any
operator in the country. The company has recently announced an aim to expand
3G services to all parts of Bangladesh by upgrading all its 10,000 base stations
by June of this year.
