(Sports) Tri-Nation ODI Tournament: Bangladesh beats Zimbabwe by 91-run to maintain winning streak

DHAKA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) — Bangladesh that already booked a spot in the final of the tri-nation one-day international (ODI) tournament Tuesaday clinched a 91-run victory against Zimbabwe in their 3rd match at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
This is Bangladesh’s third victory in the tri-nation series.
Batting first, Bangladesh set a target of 217 runs for Zimbabwe losing nine wickets in their 50 overs.
Chasing Bangladesh’s modest  total of 216 runs, none of the Zimbabwe batsmen could manage even a half-century against the tight Bangladeshi bowling attacks.
Zimbabwe were shot down for just 125 runs in 36.3 overs.
Sikandar Raza made highest 39 runs for Zimbabwe.
AG Cremer bagged highest four wickets while KM Jarvis took three wickets for Zimbabwe.
Tamim Iqbal scored highest 76 runs for Bangladesh and was named man of the match.
Shakib Al Hasan took three wickets while Mashrafe Mortaza, Sunzamul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets each to steer their side to the second victory over Zimbabwe in the tournament.
In the first match of the tournament, Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 8 wickets on Monday.
Zimbabwe beat Sri Lanka by 12 runs Wednesday in the second ODI of the tri-nation tournament.
In their 3rd match of the tournament Sri Lankan cricket team Sunday defeated Zimbabwe by five wickets.
Zimbabweans have a chance to move into final if Sri Lanka suffer another big defeat in their last ODI against Bangladesh on Thursday.  Enditem
