Communist Party of China at 105: A Journey of development, stability, global cooperation

by Naim-Ul-Karim

The 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is an important moment not only for China but also for many people around the world who have watched the country’s remarkable transformation. When the CPC was founded in 1921, China faced many serious challenges. The country struggled with poverty, instability and foreign intervention. Life was difficult for millions of ordinary people. Over the past 105 years, China has changed beyond recognition. Since its founding 105 years ago, CPC has remained at the forefront of China’s transformation, leading the nation from a period of hardship to becoming one of the world’s leading economic powers. Today, with more than 101 million members, the CPC is guiding China on a new stage of modernization, building on decades of sustained development. The CPC has grown from a small group of just over 50 members into the world’s largest governing party with tremendous global influence.
It is one of the world’s largest economies, a global center of manufacturing, technology and innovation, and a country with modern cities, high-speed rail networks and advanced infrastructure. One of the greatest achievements of the CPC has been improving the lives of the Chinese people. More than one billion people have benefited from decades of economic growth, better education, improved healthcare, stronger transportation and modern public services. Millions of families now enjoy a much higher standard of living than previous generations. China has also made remarkable progress in reducing extreme poverty, an achievement that has received international attention. China’s success did not happen overnight. It required long-term planning, investment in people, and a clear vision for national development. The CPC has focused on economic reforms, scientific research, industrial growth and infrastructure. These policies helped transform China into one of the world’s leading economies and created opportunities for businesses, workers and young people.
Under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, China has continued to pursue modernization while placing greater emphasis on innovation, green development and high-quality economic growth. The country has invested heavily in renewable energy, digital technology, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing. These efforts aim to prepare China for future challenges while improving the quality of life for its people. China has also become an important partner for many developing countries. Through trade, investment and infrastructure cooperation, it has helped support economic growth in different regions. Many countries have worked with China on roads, bridges, ports, railways, energy projects and industrial development. These partnerships have created new opportunities for economic cooperation and regional connectivity. The CPC’s leadership has also placed importance on international dialogue and cooperation. In a world facing conflicts, economic uncertainty and climate challenges, peaceful engagement between nations is more important than ever. China has consistently called for dialogue, respect for sovereignty and cooperation among countries with different political systems and cultures.
General Secretary Xi Jinping has promoted initiatives that encourage international cooperation on development, global connectivity and shared prosperity. President Xi Jinping on Wednesday hailed the 105-year history of the CPC as the “most magnificent epic” of the Chinese nation and urged the Party to press ahead to build China into a modern socialist country on schedule. Addressing a gathering marking the CPC’s 105th founding anniversary, Xi, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, called on Party members to remain steadfast in their convictions and work tirelessly to fulfill the Party’s missions in the new era and on the new journey. Xi underscored the importance of meeting the goal of fully realizing socialist modernization by the middle of the century.
“Time stops for no one, and neither does history,” he said. His vision emphasizes that countries should work together to solve common problems through communication rather than confrontation.
While different nations may have different perspectives on global affairs, efforts that encourage dialogue and peaceful cooperation remain valuable. China has also played an active role in international organizations, peacekeeping efforts and climate action. As one of the world’s major powers, its participation in addressing global issues is important. Cooperation on public health, disaster relief, clean energy and sustainable development can benefit people around the world. For many developing countries, China’s development story offers valuable lessons. It demonstrates the importance of long-term planning, investment in education, infrastructure and technology, and the need to focus on improving people’s lives. Every country has its own path to development, but China’s experience has become an important subject of study for governments, economists and development experts. As the Communist Party of China celebrates its 105th anniversary, it can look back on more than a century of change and achievement. From a country facing immense hardship to one of the world’s leading economic powers, China’s transformation is one of the most significant developments in modern history. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Communist Party of China on this important milestone. I also express appreciation to General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC leadership for their efforts to promote China’s continued development and for advocating international cooperation and dialogue on global issues. At a time when the world faces many complex challenges, peaceful engagement, mutual respect and cooperation remain essential for building a better future. May the friendship between China and countries around the world continue to grow, bringing greater prosperity, stability and opportunities for future generations. I wish the CPC hadand the people of China continued success, peace and progress in the years ahead.
